TravelClef Online Agencies was set up in 2011 by two guitarists who just wanted to spread their love of music to people. Formally known as SGuitar Music Agency, the company has now grown into a strong music brand consolidated under TravelClef Group Pte Ltd (201608768C). LEARN FOR LEISURE OR GRADED EXAMS?
Confused about the difference between leisure and graded lessons?
Basically graded lessons just mean that the student will be taking examinations with the various music examination boards like ABRSM, Trinity Guildhall etc. Graded lessons follow a specific structure that caters to the syllabus and expectations of the respective boards. On the other hand, leisure lessons can also follow the graded syllabus without actually going for the examinations.
You can also progress from leisure lessons to graded lessons in the future.
If you are looking to just play and sing to songs and prefer pop songs to classical, then we recommend going for leisure lessons!

PIANO VERSUS KEYBOARD

A 'piano' is an acoustic instrument with weighted keys whereas a 'keyboard' is an electric instrument (requiring a power source) with unweighted (lighter) keys than a piano. Some keyboards, like our Foldi-piano, has touch sensitivity that mimics the weighted keys of the piano.

If you are looking to go for graded lessons, it is still advisable to get an exam grade upright piano. For leisure lessons, having a keyboard would be sufficient for playing and practise. In general, the fundamentals of piano and keyboard are the same, only the application differs. So if you are not very sure how far you want to progress in your musical journey, you may want to consider getting a keyboard first before upgrading to an actual piano.
RATES
Different teachers charge differently based on their qualifications and experience. However, by enquiring with us, you can be assured that the rates are transparent because our agency follows an open bidding system whereby every teacher is given the flexibility to quote.
All these quotations are then automatically consolidated into a pdf and sent to you via SMS within 24 hours of us posting the assignment.

Home-based private lessons (Graded)
With teachers who have qualifications from Trinity College of London, London College of Music (LCM), ABRSM, Rockschool etc., you will be guided through the exam syllabus and well prepared for the exams.

Only qualified teachers within our agency will be able to teach the Graded syllabus. Hence, for rates and profiles of these teachers, kindly submit an enquiry and we will get back to you as soon as we have received your submission.
